Video #4: Conker- Live and Reloaded
This video will serve to elaborate on an earlier post about just how much Grandma loves the humor in Conker: L&R. And god damn, she loves it. It's longer than Video #1; but smaller in size due to the magic of video compression tools. This would be the "Public Service Announcement" video of the bunch, and we got a few more coming to ya'.
One major element you are going to notice is the change in position of the camera, offering slightly better sound than before. There is a very long, very embarrassing story behind all this, and I'll post it later today because I have no shame left to protect.

Ha, someone I knew directed me to this site, and I love it! Your grandma is so fucking awesome. It's great to see someone put the stereotype of what most consider to be a hardcore gamer to shame. I really hope she gets to go to E3. Keep with the updates, this site is entertaining, and I love your grandma.

These rule. Your grandma can come over to my place ANY TIME :) Then again, she might not want to cause the only consoles we have, and want, are NES, Dremcast, PS/2, Sega Gen. No Xbox for us :(
ANYWAY back on topic, she seems to be getting a great kick out of that game, I might have to watch someone play it so I can see what she's laughing at :D

Ok, seeing your, mom, perhaps in the video made me wonder. If your Grandma is 69, that means she was born somewhere around 1936, right? So Pong came out in the 1970s and it was the first major arcade game. So my question is (and its probably been asked before, i just couldn't find it on the blog):
-When did this obsession start? What drew her to it? Why did it stick?
I figure she had to be a least in her late 30s-early 40s when Video games even became a cultural thing, so I'm just curious on the beginnings of her love.

Just wandered over after a Fark session. Theres a thread about female stereotypes in games. Near as I can tell most video games are 100% stereotypes. But anyway, what does Grandma think about bikini chain mail? It is attractive? Silly? Offensive?
BUT as long as were discussing stereotypes here, how often do you see a female character that is older than 24?
Does it bug Grandma that there is not a single person in the video universe her gender and age? DOH! Wait a minute, in Zelda Wind Waker there IS a Grandma.

You should strap a camera to a helmet and put it on grandma's head so you can have a "gramcam" and see where she is in the games. That would be awesome.

dude, you've got to be able to borrow at least a Mini-DV and encode some Divx for us...a little higher res, better audio, and some actual moving around the room camera...let us see how grandma plays and give a little more depth to the whole situation...hell, I'd so give a little in paypal if i could see this documentary style released weekly, see if oghc can school me in some Halo goddamnit...and hell yeah if she was on XboX LiVe, I'd so be on there...
