Old Grandma Hardcore

This blog is the chronicle of my experiences with Grandma, the video-game playing queen of her age-bracket and weight class. She will beat any PS2, XBox, GameCube, etc., console game put in front of her, just like she always has. These are her stories. She is absolutely real. She lives in Cleveland.

Fuck yes

There was maybe about 30 people when we got there tonight; about a hundred or so when we left.

Also: there was Eric. Eric was dressed as a banana for some inexplicable reason; defying the art of logic in a Dada like display of neo-post-absurdist joy.

He was cool.

Game on!

Hopefully mine comes in the mail today/this afternoon. I ordered it back before the cut-off and EBgames said it would be delivered on the street date. We can only hope!

My entire 360 friends list is playing it. Arrggghh.

    Go Grandma!

Yeah, let us know how Grandma like it! I am reluctant to buy it. I'm sick of the same old crap. I have a feeling it's the same game just will tiny changes just like the rest of them. BORING! Maybe I'm wrong though, let us know!!!

That's weird. I was watching my friend play GTA4 today and he bumped into a guy as he was walking down the street, and the guy yelled, "I DON'T HAVE ANY BANANAS!!!" And now your banana-suited friend...

I've been meaning to do this forever. Back in the days of the original XBox, my gamertag was MechaSlinky and I had added Grandma to the list. I sold the XBox and then years later, I got a 360. I was unable to recover my old gamertag, so I made a new one. Effin Bear.

I figured Grandma's list is probably completely full, and I thought if one of those slots is being taken up by MechaSlinky, she should go ahead and get rid of that. Then she can add whoever she likes in its place, like, say, I don't know, something sort of along the lines of Effin Bear, maybe?

If she wants, of course. I'm not going to be devastated or anything if I never get to add her to my list, it would just be pretty cool.

At least Grandma won't be bored anymore!

Personally I probably won't be picking up the game, at least not right away. I've got way too many backlogged games as it is.

Awesome I picked it up on release date as well but in the afternoon so what does grandma think of the game?So far its really good and its really impressive how realistic the game is such as when I run someone over the blood splats over the parts of the car and when your car you can see the heatwave and such. The online is great fun too I had a few helicopter fights with my friends online its a shame you can go into the aeroplanes mind.

    Oh fuck!

I spent money on a PS2 and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 but then.. oh yes I forgot to buy.. the new GTA.

But don't you worry, I'll beat Kingdom Hearts, trade the first one in for GTA IV, play it and trade it back for Kingdom Hearts 1 (hey I like a collection) then buy GTA IV when I get the chance.

Sounds confusing.. but.. it's the ol' switcharoo.

True problem solving is the process of applying a method - not known in advance - to a problem that is subject to a specific set of conditions and that the problem solver has not seen before, in order to obtain a satisfactory solution. essay writing help

Model a useful problem-solving method. Problem solving can be difficult and sometimes tedious. Show students by your example how to be patient and persistent and how to follow a structured method, such as Woods' model described here. Articulate your method as you use it so students see the connections. custom essay writing service

Teach within a specific context. Teach problem-solving skills in the context in which they will be used (mole fraction calculations in a chemistry course). Use real-life problems in explanations, examples, and exams. Do not teach problems solving as an independent, abstract skill. custom essays cheap

Help students understand the problem. In order to solve problems, studnets need to define the end goal. This step is crucial to successful learning of problem-solving skills. If you succeed at helping studnets answer the questions "what?" and "why?", finding the answer to "how?" will be easier. custom essay services

Take enough time. When planning a lecture/tutorial, budget enough time for: understanding the problem and defining the goal, both individually and as a class, dealing with questions from you and your students, making, finding, and fixing mistakes, and solving entire problem in a single session. custom written essays

Vocabulary should be taught first, as it is the easiest to grasp because it can be demonstrated with a visual aid. As the student builds vocabulary, the instructor can begin introducing abstract words and elements of the language, but without explaining or focusing on the actual grammatical structure. The complexities of the language will be learned inherently, with the student picking up on its patterns through practice and application only. custom essay writing service

At the end of each class period, there can be an optional question and answer session where studnets are allowed to ask the teacher about that day's lesson. Here, clarifications may be made and confusion may be cleared up, but again, this is entirely optional. Sometimes, the best way to learn the language through this method is to just tough it out and let it come naturally. custom essays cheap
