A Funny Thing Happened On GameBlogs Last Night
Some fellow GameBlogs listed bloggers noticed the BusinessWeek article about elderly and adult gaming; Grandma noticed this cool post from Fuel Games Blog positioned directly on top of the feed from OGHC. Within the copy of the teaser was this phrase: "Apparently there is a 69 year old Grandma 'Old Grandma Hardcore' who's an avid gamer. She even has a blog..."Thanks guys :)
We also received an e-mail from "HAL02frg" who writes:
Hey. I noticed you guys what, three times on Joystiq in the last week? Enough is enough, kid. First on the Zork Thompson thing and then the Business Week article, what do you have like a viral advertising deal going with Joystiq? I don't go to video game sites to read non stop articels about your Grandma, I go to read about games. If you're going to advertise, do it like everybody else, stop spamming.
Just so I can clarify for everybody, we don't have any budget for advertising, viral or otherwise. Every time Joystiq mentions Grandma we both get butterflies in our gut, man. The feeling of seeing a shoutout on a blog or news site that you read yourself... It's quite a thing. Also, I'll be 23 this December, dude. I wish I was still a kid; I could watch Cartoon Network without that guilty feeling I get for enjoying The Powerpuff Girls and Scooby Doo.

Woo more links, and more who will learn about Grandma's awesomeness! ::cheer:: Don't let Mr. "HAL02frg" get you down: Grandma's a gamer, and you two have carved out a small place in gaming history. Not only do you guys continually disprove the myth that gamers are only 18-35 year old guys - or that "mature gamers" only play Pong and Solitare - but you too had your part in the whole Jack-Thompson-Modest-Proposal madness (especially since your game was not only hilarious, but tried to teach valuable lessons as well). And I also think you're the only person I know of outside of CNN or Fox that has managed to talk to Jack Thomspon without him frothing at you over the phone.
And also? You guys are awesome. If HAL02frg has a problem with you, it must be because he has a problem with awesome. (and there are like a hojillion articles on Joystiq: he really can't deal with seeing you guys in a few of them? Pbbbbth upon him.) ::grin::

G'day from Down Under.
I'm 36 and still watch Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, so don't be ashamed of it. They're writing catoons aimed at two audiences these days, so they are enjoyable for adults too.
Anyway, why don't you send your grandma to http://www.theoldergamers.com and check us out. She won't be the oldest, as we've got a 70 year old playing RTCW:ET. ;)

Heh, as i was
cheap diablo 3 Gold obviously a youngster, That i used to laugh at people who appreciated people goofy characters. Since I am just during my 30's and 40's, I've found personally enjoying Cartoon System greater than LetBillig Guild Wars 2 Gold me acknowledge
