Old Grandma Hardcore

This blog is the chronicle of my experiences with Grandma, the video-game playing queen of her age-bracket and weight class. She will beat any PS2, XBox, GameCube, etc., console game put in front of her, just like she always has. These are her stories. She is absolutely real. She lives in Cleveland.

Video #15 - Thank you

This one is long, so it may take quite some time to load.

Thanks, everybody. I hope the video works for you (although, you might have to click on it, save the video or pause it; minimizing the window to go on to other things while the thing loads for you.)

    Dear Grandma,
I'm so glad you're going to be ok! Let that strapping young grandson of yours carry all the heavy stuff from now on. In fact, make MTV hire you a slew of hand- and footservants so that you don't even have to pause your game to get your own buttered popcorn.

Goodness, I saw the tag for the youtube video of "cancer" and I was terrified.

I am so happy to hear that everything's going to be OK! I hope you have an amazing time at E3, I can't think of anyone who deserves to go more.

I happened across this site about a week ago when I was searching stuff on Fatal Frame III. I thought it was awesome that she plays games first off, but even more awesome that she plays the same things as I do (action, horror, rpg's). I've watched all the video's and thought they were great and showed the real spirit of Grandma.

I don't have an account at Blogspot since I do all my blogging/friend networking at MySpace but I made sure to bookmark this page for later viewing.

When I first started watching this I was worried by the tone of the video...what could have happened...but I was relieved when the news came back that everything was fine. I hope you have a safe trip to e3 and a quick recovery! Keep gaming, and I'll keep checking back for new vid's ^_^

I've gotta stop before I throw more relieved leaping-up-and-down superlatives at you, but the relief is seriously palapable. I'm so glad Grandma is ok. Whew. Whew. Must calm down. So relieved.

Take care, be well, (more later ;) ) and GAME ON!

*big hugs* You had us all very worried there for a while. When the video said "bone cancer" my brain seized up in horror. I'm so glad that it isn't, though of course I'm sorry that Grandma's in pain. I agree with Bi-coastal Eddie about the wheelchair/scooter options - you might feel a bit weird in them, but you'll be a lot more comfortable and let's face it, you're going to E3 to enjoy yourself, right? Not to be in too much pain to move.

Game on, Grandma! Game on, Tim!

I just saw the video. I hope Grandma feels better, and I wish her good health. I'm happy that you both are going to E3! Good job with all of what you've done so far. I'll see you soon!

    Hi Grandma.
My first post here. I've been watching your blog for some months now but never typed anything because my english is not very good. I'm from Portugal and i've known you from a portuguese gamers forum. We know you :). But about this i've had to write something. My father has 70 years old and have bone cancer for 3 years now. I'm very glad that you don't :). But he's a strong man and a very optimistic guy and never quited. He's better now and the chemical treatments have been working. About your philosophy of life "if we expect the worst when good things happens it feels wonderfull"... I'm all that Grandma...

    Game on Grandma... Game on...
You are a symbol of life...

P.s. Sorry for any crappy english... I've done my best. Happy E3. Live On!
